Tonight
I watch the sun set over the hills and think to myself deeply.

We are all projections, playing in our life movie
moving shadows on white walls
Here one moment

and momentarily gone.

The brain catches up to the body, as my breath beats to the cadence of my soul.

Soon, the stars will take the stage and my thoughts, just like time, will dissipate.

When I lay down my head and close my eyes, the hands of formality will release their grip and I will become what I was, before my ears took form and earlier than my eyes could see.
